Whispers "I Thought I Told Ya" ONESHOT [Jared Monaco Fanfic]
I woke up smiling ans with my eyes still closed. I tried to hold onto every detail of that dream as much as possible. Sleeping with Jared Monaco was single-handedly the greatest idea my brain had every put into my sleeping head. I sighed, wishing it was real. I rolled onto my side, making the arm wrapped around me shift over.
Wait...ARM??!!
My eyes flew open. I looked around at an unfamiliar room. And then I saw there, lying next to me, was him. Jared. JRAD. The ginger of The Maine. "The Magical Unicorn." My mouth dropped open as reality told me that I hadn't imagined everything from my dream. In fact, I realized that it wasn't a dream at all. "Oh. My. God," I whispered. He looked even more adorable asleep, his red hair messed up and resembling a strawberry colored bird's nest. I closed my eyes as memories from the last night came rushing back to me.
He had been so scared to talk to me that night. I'm not exactly sure why, but it made me feel special that he hand-picked me from the crowd. Once he "worked up the courage" (as John had put it) to ask me to go to his place, he made me promise not to leave before morning broke. He mentioned not being able to take rejection from a girl as "amazing" as I was. Remembering this, I smiled to myself. I knew that he'd approve of the fact that I kept my promise.
I ran a finger across his face to remind myself that this was indeed real. He smiled in his sleep and slowly woke up. "You stayed," he said slightly surprised. "I can't believe you actually stayed." I moved in closer to him. "I thought I told you that I would," I playfully responded. He smiled, moving his hand to intertwine his fingers in my fair and kissed me gently. He looked into my eyes and started to sing:

I must be dreaming.
No song had ever been placed at a more fitting moment.
